The Creative Advocacy Partnership (CAP) is a group of Australian advocates, artists and designers who use creative practice to influence positive change. In each project we partner with communities to make things together, including artworks, installations, events, audio stories, poems, talks or performances, and through these projects we aim to connect people together, shift oppressive narratives and strengthen the way communities are advocating for change.
“Creative advocacy does not take away from our usual engagements with decision-makers, it works as a vehicle to engage the public, policy makers and change agents in meaningful ways” – Arunn Jegan (MSF Humanitarian Affairs Lead)
We are developing an approach called ‘Creative Advocacy Partnerships’, where artists partner with communities who are experiencing injustice, and use creative practice to advocate for positive change. Read more here
